We are glad to introduce you to the Alphabix program. This handy application will help you create and edit, as well as convert bitmap fonts. It is suitable for those who want to create dynamic text templates or 3D headers for websites or projects created in BluffTitler.
Despite its minimalistic design, the application has an extensive set of useful functions.
The Alphabix program was specially created for processing small details, for example, the shape and color of bitmap fonts. Working with the menu, you can add and change font characters and glyph height, as well as access glyph or kerning editors. One editor can help you replace glyphs with images in BMP, PNG, TIF, GIF, and JPG formats, and the second one makes it easier to adjust the interval between certain pairs.
You can easily convert any TrueType, OpenType, and Type 1 fonts installed on your computer’s system, remove non-ASCII characters and crop them vertically.
You can set the character range (the characters you want to convert), character set, size, color, size, and border color. Alphabix allows you to import Photofonts, as well as export your projects as separate files or web pages. Any character can be replaced with any PNG, BMP, GIF, TIF, or JPG image. The alpha channels are imported correctly.
The ability of the application to work with bitmap fonts contains many advantages! Firstly, they are full-color, while vector fonts such as True Type (TTF) do not contain any color information. Bitmap fonts are easy to create, if you know how to draw an image in a drawing application, you can create your own. Bitmap fonts are always anti-aliased because the texture file created by Alphabix has perfect anti-aliasing.
You can download a free trial version of the app, and then, if you like the app (which we have no doubt about), you can purchase the full version, which costs no more than a trip to McDonald’s.
